George Bowie
George Bowie was born on July 29, 1747, to Mary Smalley Bowie and George Bowie.
The husband of Rachel Strout Bowie, George was a soldier in the American Revolution, serving in the capacity of Private in Captain Samuel Thomas’s company; Col. Benjamin Tupper’s regiment (DAR Ancestor #: A012811; SAR Patriot #: P-118634).
He died at sea (drowned) near Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, on 4 May 1793, aged 45.

The husband of Anna Marguritte/Margarette Hilt, Jacob was a captain in the American Revolution in the Lincoln County, MA militia. He also served as captain under the command of Colonel John Allan. He was the first town clerk of Waldoboro, Maine (DAR Ancestor #: A072335; SAR Patriot #: P-118634).
He died on January 1, 1826, in Waldoboro, Maine.
