This month I hit a milestone, I turned 60. Unbelievable, where has the time gone? I am reminded of the Kenny Chesney song ‘Don’t Blink.’
I remember when I was 20 thinking that when we hit the year 2000, I would be 40 years old and I could not imagine that. I could not imagine what the year 2000 would be like either.
We are now 20 years past that. My children are older than I was when I was trying to imagine where my life would take me or I would take my life. They are trying to figure out their place in the world and where they want to go and what is important to them.
Loren is looking forward to getting back to work in a couple of weeks and is thinking about going back to school. She is also thinking about moving into an apartment with a friend of hers in the spring.
Louis is working on his business and writing. He also met someone and they are making plans for their future.
Lou and I are looking at places in Tennessee and South Carolina with an eye towards retirement. I am back to work as a consultant so I can work from anywhere that has the internet.
I can’t imagine what the next 20 years will bring, but I know it will go by in a blink of the eye!
